Wyatt is 1!!!!

This Saturday Mr. Wyatt turned one!! Wyatt had a great day! He woke up in the morning and crawled into the living room to find a present waiting for him. We wanted to let him open it by himself so the bike/plane inside did not reveal itself for another hour or so. We made Wyatt his favorite breakfast of waffles and strawberries and even let him have a little whipped cream, which he of course devoured. After breakfast Wyatt finally discovered his present and could not get enough of riding and pushing his little plane around. We were so impressed with how well he was able to handle the new toy, the only down side is there are a ton of buttons that make noise, but no mute button like with other toys.

During nap time Grandma and Grandpa Cannon arrived from San Diego for the day. Then it was party time. We had a party for Wyatt at the park because he is like his daddy and always happiest when he is outdoors. Thanks to everyone for coming and celebrating with Wyatt!! It was a windy day so the candles on his cake would not stay lit so we sang again that night inside with a cupcake. Cake and babies make a messy combination, but Wyatt was so happy and excited to consume all that sugar it was worth the tears during clean up.

Wyatt really was happy all day and could not get enough of all his new toys. This is so crazy, I kept telling Rick that I would probably lose it and start to cry on Wyatt’s birthday, but it didn’t hit me until now when I am remembering it and looking at all his pictures. I cannot believe my little baby is one already!! This year has definitely been one of he best years of my life. Wyatt has been the perfect baby (at least up to this point) and has brought indescribable happiness to our lives. We love you Wyatt! Don’t grow up too fast on us!
