The Shamos Meet Shamu!

This past week my parents were in San Diego for an Internal Medicine conference so Wyatt and I headed down for a visit. My parents were staying in the Hyatt right on the beach so I was able to enjoy a little bit of luxury with them, and more than enough space for Wyatt. The hotel was right next to a small fisherman’s village and the harbor where there were a bunch of cute shop and restaurants. I was brave enough to try fish tacos one night and to my surprise they are actually very tasty.

The highlight of the trip was my Mom’s Birthday on Thursday!! We celebrated by going to Sea World. That is right, Wyatt met the mammal that will be the source of lots of jokes about his name for the rest of his life. It was a beautiful day and really fun to take Wyatt around the park. I was a little nervous when Wyatt started freaking out in the dolphin show whenever they would splash, but he recovered well and enjoyed all the other shows (I think he liked the Shamu show the best). My Dad had to get back to the conference to participate in a graduation so Wyatt and I went out to eat with my Mom.

San Diego was great, and we were glad to get back to LA safe since we had to drive home in a terrible rainstorm. A big thanks to my Mom and Dad for inviting us down!
