Disneyland and Dating

I love Disneyland!! Most of you who know me probably already know that, or if you have ever been in Wyatt’s room you may think I am a bit borderline obsessive. This weekend we went to Disneyland. Since we go fairly often we don’t normally end up taking any pictures because we always think we will get to it next time. As we were heading to Main Street we were stopped by a messy diaper near the castle where we saw the perfect family photo op. The sun was setting the castle looked great, as you can see by Rick’s version: so we asked a nice looking stranger to take our picture and of course it turned out like this:Great castle shot huh? What do you do at times like this when it is not what you want, but you can tell it was a struggle for the poor woman to figure out how to push the cameras button the first time? I guess next time we will need to bring the tripod.

You would think the highlight of the weekend was Disney land, but not so. On Saturday Rick and I went on a date just the two of us! We could not even remember the last time we went out just us two. Sure we have been out since Wyatt has been born, but normally we just cart him along for the ride or are out with a bunch of people. For those of you who have kids that haven’t done this in awhile I have to tell you get going, call me I will babysit. It is amazing at dinner you do not have to worry about food being thrown or whether the restaurant has a high chair. If you go somewhere with multiple levels there is no need to find the elevator of wheelchair ramp for the stroller and during a movie there is no need to entertain a child while trying to following along. Sure you will miss the little tike, but it is so nice to take the time for you. The only challenging part ladies, is trying to find a purse somewhere in the back of your closet and then to transferring all your necessities from the diaper bag.

I laughed so hard about transferring things to your purse thing! I keep losing my purse because of that!
