On Saturday we woke up to such a beautiful day we thought we would head to the beach. We stopped by McDonald’s to take a picnic lunch and got Wyatt his first happy meal, it is all part of our plan to fatten him up.

I think Rick played with the shovel and pail more than Wyatt. Wyatt and his buddies Sam and Quincy had a good time destroying the castle Rick and Jared made.

It was a nice day for the first little while we were there then it all of a sudden got cloudy and cold, but we hung around because there was a pretty good wind for kite flying. Rick gets more and more excited about kite boarding each time he takes the kite out. This weekend he brought his life jacket along thinking he may go in the water to practice some body dragging. He hasn’t been in the water yet, but I think he is getting closer. I didn’t fly the kite this time but Rick, Jon, Jared, Sean, and Marissa were able take a turn. It seems like some people just have a feel for flying the kite, I am definitely not one of them I think it was stays up about 45 seconds before it crashes on me. Just so those of you who haven’t seen the kite have an idea of why it is so hard the blue kite is an 8-meter kite (~24ft.) that is a trainer kite for heavier winds; Rick’s kite that he will go in the water with is 15.5 meters (~45 ft.). I just pray that he won’t get blown away!
This picture is obviously not from our beach trip but I thought is was so cute. I think Wyatt looks like goofy, if you look closely his two front teeth are far enough apart to have another one in between. It's a good things we know a lot of soon to be orthodontists.

Looks like a fun day at the beach. Next time you take the kite out we want to come and have Rick show us all how it is done.
You guys sure had a lot of fun! This makes me want to come out and visit the beach. I love Wyatt's new teeth. He is growing so fast.
