It has been an interesting Mother's Day. Rick has done a great job of making me feel special, he made crumb cake for breakfast and is making enchiladas for dinner. He also surprised me with some beautiful flowers, an awesome new diaper bag, and several editions to our Settlers of Catan game. We now can play six players on the regular game and Cities and Knights, so if anyone is up for a big game give us a call. Wyatt has been sweet as well; he has been very cuddly today because he has reverted back to his sickness from earlier in the week. He is having a rough day, but I hope the worst is over.
I have been home today on secondary duty for our AC job, and with Rick at church and Wyatt sleeping, it is has given me some time to reflect of the great woman that are Mothers to our family.
I have felt in the past that I have appreciated all the Mothers in my life for what they have done for me, but I don't think I have truly understood until this Mother's Day. Especially taking care of Wyatt this week, as he has been sick it has made me more grateful for everything our mothers have done for us and are still doing (I still call my mom whenever I am sick). It also makes what is coming up in my journey as a mother seem a little overwhelming. I can only imagine that my appreciation and love for all of my many mothers will grow as I continue on this journey.
We love our Moms, Grandmas, and Great Grandmas! We have been thinking of you today, we love you and miss you all!

Janae, I wrote to you yesterday but my computer crashed right as I was getting ready to send. Your Dad and I think you are a fantastic mother and wife. We are so proud that you are one of our wonderful daughters. Keep up the great work with Wyatt. He has a terrific mom. We love you all, and Rick you are truly loved for taking such great care of our daughter and grandson.
