BEST BIRTHDAY PARTY EVER
The daughter of one of Rick's co residents had her birthday party in a warehouse full of bounce houses, the boys were in heaven.
LOTS OF FUN OUTSIDE
We spent a lot of time outside. There is something to be said about running through the sprinklers fully clothed until you are soaked, it just makes it feel like summer.

BUNK BEDS
The boys got bunk beds. The first three days were rough transitioning Owen from the crib, but he eventually got the hang of it and we meet my goal of both boys being transitioned (Wyatt to the top bunk, and Owen to a big boy bed) before kindergarten started in September.
It makes him look SOOO much older, it seems like he has grown up so much in the last couple months.
The biggest event of August was definitely finishing off the basement. It had been a project slowly moving forward over the past three years. Rick had a week of of work and literally every waking second was spent working on the basement. It was fun to work together all day long. It happened to be the week of our 9th wedding anniversary so it was our anniversary present to ourselves. I would say it is 95% done, Rick is still finishing a built in bookcase and there is not any decor up, but adding 400 sq ft to our 1200 sq ft house has been really nice.
Here is the basement as it was when we first walked through our house.
