Fathers and Sons

This weekend was the Fathers and Sons Campout for our Stake, and it was the first time Rick and Wyatt were able to go. I don't know who was more excited, Rick or Wyatt. In preparation for the big event we set up the tent in the backyard with our neighbor. Rick and Wyatt ended up sleeping in the tent that night, for practice. Our ward got together and Matt made some dutch oven that I have been hearing about non stop, Rick was a really big fan. There were smores. One of the rules of camping, according to Rick, is that no water can be consumed, only juice and soda, I guess this is shown by the root beer with breakfast.I spent the night with some friends going out to dinner then having a RockBand party at our house, I wish I had had the camera, it was really fun.

According to Wyatt his favorite part was being able to pee on trees. My favorite part of their trip was when Rick and Wyatt got home and Wyatt asked Rick, "Daddy can we go camping again, but this time can Mommy come?" Seriously, Wyatt says things you would think I am paying him to say, we sure do love this kid!

First off, I'm way late on this one but I wanted to congratulate you on the pregnancy! We are so thrilled for you guys and I loved your last post all about the unexpected blessings that came from moving to CT.

Also, I love all the recent updates and it cracks me up that Wyatt's favorite part of the trip was peeing on the trees! Glad to see you've got a little camper, if you guys ever move back to Utah we'll have to take another Cannon family Uintah's trip!

Wyatt was a great little camper. I laughed so hard every time he said he needed to find another little tree to pee on because Rick was taking him out non-stop, that and his warm, soft and cozy donuts.

Wes and Wyatt were our primary source of entertainment, so thanks for giving him up for the night.

Looks like fun! I love it that Wyatt liked peeing on trees...especially because that makes for little 'privacy!'

Love the campout. I am ready for Greg to take the boys but he won't until they are potty trained. What a nice time for them to spend together

Janae: please let Rick know that I am proud of him for following the secret scout slogan: "Don't drink the water." Soda kills the bacteria. Safety first.
