Trying to squeeze everything in

The reality that we are moving away from sunny SoCal exactly four weeks from today is really starting to sink in. This week Wyatt and I finally did a couple things that I have always meant to do here, but just have never gotten around to it. We had a picnic and the Santa Monica Airport park. We have been to the airport a couple times, mainly for sales in the different hangers so I don't think that really counts. I was really excited because the website talks about being able to picnic right on the runway where you could easily see the planes take off and land from these public viewing decks. I drove around for awhile and we could find no such place, if you have been able to find it let me know how to get there and we will have to try again this week. Wyatt was still thrilled by the airplanes being so close. I tried to get him to look for a picture, but it was not going to happen the planes were his main focus.

We also made it to Venice beach. We have been to a lot of beaches here, but I had never been to what is officially Venice beach. We walked up and down the boardwalk, no body builders so that was a little disappointing, but there is always next time right? Here Wyatt is sporting his pirate tattoo, very fitting for the location. As a side note this tattoo is driving me crazy, normally they start flaking off almost immediately. This one has survived two bath time scrubbings and it still looks brand new. Are there any secrets to getting these things off without taking off a layer of skin with them!?

I always knew Wyatt was a rebel at heart. That is sooo funny his tattoo will not come off.

Looks like you guys are having fun in California. I can't wait to come see you in a couple weeks. It will be a lot of fun and we are so excited for Rick to graduate! Congrats to all of you for surviving dental school!

Boy, every time I see a picture of Wyatt he seems to have grown. I can't wait to see him on the 28th of this month. You are an amazing Mom.

I can't believe you guys are moving in four weeks! That is so crazy! Are you ready for it? Nervous? Excited? Are you taking a side trip to SLC for a little while?

Anyway- if you put a little baby oil on a washrag and gently scrub at the tattoo- it should come off. I put one on Ty's cheek the other day and that's how we got it off without taking the whole left side of his face too! Hope it helps!

Wyatt is so cute! I'm glad you're having fun seeing new things together!

Lucas has 8 tattoos between his 2 arms...I tried to scrub them off tonight, but I decided it wasn't worth it! Let me know if you find a quick solution! :)

Try baby oil. That should work. Also Witch Hazel. We go to the airport all the time. We should go this weekend or next week. I will show you the spot. Its really hard to find but so worth it. They have benches right on the runway. Sofia LOVES it.
