Saturday, June 2nd was a special 50th Anniversary Celebration for our Stake in the Los Angeles Temple. We have known about this temple day for almost a year and it has been stressed that everyone was supposed to attend. The Stake was offering babysitting at our ward building, but Wyatt seemed a little too young for that and we wanted to make a day of it. Luckily, Britney was willing to watch Wyatt, thanks again Britney I definitely owe you some enchiladas. It was quite the day I left the house at 9:00 am to drop Wyatt off and didn’t get home until 9:15 pm. Rick was making fun of me that I thought 12 hours was a long day (he does that a couple times a week).
It was so nice to be in the temple all day. We were able to attend the 11:30 session, grab a quick lunch in the cafeteria, attend the Commemorative Session in the assembly room, and then make it to the 4:30 session. I love being in the temple with Rick; it has been hard to get there together as often as we would like since we had Wyatt, each time we go separately it is just not the same. It will be the best when we can just take Wyatt in with us.
This picture of the temple was given to each member of the Stake that attended. I love that the Los Angeles Temple stands out as a beautiful, peaceful place in the middle of this crazy town.

That was such a neat experience! Gotta love the temple.
That sounds like such a nice day! Our temple day is coming up in September, and I wasn't really planning on going b/c of Lucas, but you have inspired me! Did you see Claire?
Love your post. I am so happy to watch Wyatt while you two go to the temple together. I have only been once without J.T. L.A. tempole is my favorite, I was sealed there.
Janae - Love reading your blog! I sign on every week to read all about your fun experiences. You are both such great parents. Wyatt is so lucky to be given so many wonderful opportunities at such a young age. California seems to suit you just fine. Wyatt is adorable!
I was just going to ask if you took that photo then realized it's the same one Chris brought home ; )
A sick Henry prevented me from going, but I'm so glad Chris got to go and that everyone had a lovely time!
