Yep, we are having a baby!!!! I am 21 weeks due Oct 23 and it is a GIRL!!!! We are very excited and a little nervous at the same time. Rick loves babies and is really excited, but claims he knows how to be a boy dad, but is a little unsure about being a dad to a little girl, I am sure he will be fine. I am nervous to have three and Owen and this baby girl will only be two years apart, but we will figure it out like everyone else does I guess. I was REALLY sick in the beginning, but am feeling great now and everything with the baby looks great so far.
Wyatt is really excited, I think he really wanted it to be a girl. I don't think Owen really gets that anything is happening, any suggestion on explaining a new baby to a 19 month old? Wyatt has some concerns though, he is very concerned that we only have boy things, every time we go to a store he wants to stop and look at girl things and he has some serious opinions of what he thinks he will be good for his little sister. His name choices have really matured as well, while he suggested "garbage can" and "car door" for Owen, his favorites for this little girl are Ella and Juliet, I think it may have something to do with a baby girl in our ward and another across the street having those names.
We feel incredibly blessed to have another child on the way to our home.

I had a feeling you had something to tell me when you called last week, now I am kicking myself for not getting back to you sooner so I could hear it right from your mouth, but either way, this is sooooooo exciting! Congratulations Janae! I'm glad that you are beginning to feel better. I hope that continues and the remainder of the pregnancy goes smoothly. Matt felt the same way when he found out we were having a boy. He knew how to parent girls, not boys! Somehow, it all comes naturally. Little girls are pretty great! Good luck.

I read the post above and thought, "is Janae expecting?" So I'm so glad I kept reading!!! Congratulations - that is so awesome. And how sweet is that about Wyatt being concerned for her, being surrounded by boy things ... we're so excited!

Congratulations! What exciting news! Girls are so fun, and it sounds like she will have 2 very sweet big brothers to watch over her. I feel the same nervousness about switching genders for the 3rd-- you'll have to give me all your boy parenting secrets! Congrats again!!
We are so happy for you guys!! You will looooove having a girl. And I think girls with older brothers are the BEST! Kaitlin loves her princesses, but she knows how to wield a light saber! Wyatt sounds like he's going to be a wonderful caretaker of his little sister!
