Dr. Richard J. Shamo DDS MD

That has a nice ring to it right?? Rick is officially done with the Medical School portion of his OMFS training and our families came out to celebrate.

Rick's parents came out before graduation and helped us around the house. With their help the entire basement is now dry walled and the stairs have been completely finished. Here is Rick's Dad playing frisbee with the boys.
After helping with the house for a few days, the Shamos headed up to a time share in The Berkshires and we were able to go up with them for Mother's Day weekend. We took the scenic route and found this hotel that was built in the 1700s and housed revolutionary soldier and we stopped for lunch, It was called the Old Boston hotel, it was nowhere near Boston.

We forgot our camera so all these pictures where from Rick's ipod, if they seem blurry sorry.

Wyatt and Grandpa in the ballroom.
We were thinking we would run into a town along the scenic route, but not one big enough for a gas station. We finally found this lone gas pump at an antique/convenience store. Yep that is $4.46 a gallon!!!
The condo had a lot of fun activities. There is a video of Wyatt on the paddle boats below.
Grandma made Wyatt hot chocolate and even home made lemon bars in the condo, I was very impressed.
A little shuffleboard anyone?
Celebrating the main event. It was a really rainy day and our pictures are a little blurry.

Did I mention that my sister, Christine came out and brought her not so new baby, Nathan, that we got to meet for the first time. With Chris' visit that now means all my sister's have made it out to CT!!!

Celebration Dinner
Rick had been using his original cell phone that was a gift for his BYU graduation in 2004, so he got a new phone and a nail gun, he was pretty happy.Rick was back in the thick of residency the next day so the rest of us went to CT's Old State House.
Rick was able to meet up with us for dinner at Max Burger.
Wyatt got to introduce his preschool teacher, Melanie, to Grandpa Cannon.
Then what would a visit to CT be without Duck Bowling. There is a video or Wyatt keeping score at the end, he was pretty into it.
Celebration dance.
It rained the entire time my parents and sister were in town so we spent a lot of time playing games and getting to know Nathan.
It is always so nice to be with family especially for big occasions like celebrating Rick. I am always so impressed with Rick all he does for our family. He sometimes goes days without sleep, but is always positive and fun to be around. He really loves learning, I know I wouldn't have been able to handle the 23rd grade. He loves what he is doing and that makes me happy. Only three more years to go!!!!!

Tell Rick way to go! I know that I would not make it to the 23rd grade and then some. :) And congratulations on the new baby, and it's a girl! Janee told us when we were in SLC over Memorial Weekend and I am so excited for you! I hope that everything has been going well with this pregnancy!

Congratulations, Rick!!! Great work! I laughed about the cellphone...:-D Clint recently upgraded too, but I think Rick's phone was even older than Clint's! I'm glad so many people were able to come celebrate with you!
