Last month we headed back west for a couple weeks with family. We started the trip heading to Boulder City. The boys were great flyers.
We were in Boulder for Father's Day and I snagged a couple pictures with Rick and his boys.
Then we added in Grandpa Shamo.
Then one of my favorite family pictures we have with the four of us, I think everyone is looking at the camera.
Owen met a lot of people for the first time. Here he is greeting Great Grandma Shamo by slobbering on her.
We had a great get together for Korean BBQ.
The weather was actually not that hot, just so dry, we have definitely adjusted to CT's humidity. Wyatt played in the backyard with his cousins on the trampoline and with the water whenever he could.
Owen and I found a shady spot to be spectators.
Grandpa took Rick and Wyatt for a ride through the desert on his new Rhino.
Rick was in Heaven and this is what he would have done the whole time if possible.
Wyatt got to go on an early morning boys run with them.
We visited the local splash park several times.
Owen LOVED it!
Wyatt and Lucas made water angels.
We got to be there with all of the Shamos when Tammi went through the temple (I am still waiting for a big group shot that someone promised they would email out, hint hint) on Ned's birthday. Thanks Clint and Natalie for watching the boys.
Owen eventually made his boating debut.
Owen loved getting in the lake, Wyatt not so much.
Despite his hesitations he did get up on the wakeboard with Rick. Be sure to check out his videos at the end.
I am not the best documentor, but Rick still has it out on the lake, I am always impressed when I see his tricks. Here he is mid back flip.
We went to the Leid's Children's Museum.
And spent our last night there picnicking on the beach, and watching the sunset.

We loved, loved, loved seeing you! Wyatt is going to be doing tricks like his Daddy on the wakeboard in no time! The pics of Owen in his life jacket are so funny!
P.S. Tell Wyatt he can come eat popsicles in my living room anytime. :)
Great pictures.
Wow! That is amazing that Wyatt went wake boarding with Rick. I am so impressed. Wyatt must be in the next generation of Wake Monkeys. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun on your trip. We miss you guys!
So fun! Scott and i are big fans of Boulder:) We might move out there when we buy a home:) I must say that CT humidity is one thing I don't really miss:) I like dry heat, I swear it was hotter in CT than it gets here sometimes because even though it is hot here, I don't feel like i'm always sweating! I also like that my hair stays frizz free;) I do miss CT though and all the awesome people there:) Your boys look so big and SOooo adorable! I love you family pic, you are right it is a great one!
I love Wyatt's response to his first wakeboarding experience! PRICELESS!! Great pictures too. It looks like you guys had a lot of fun times OUTSIDE enjoying the beautiful weather. Now I am just waiting for a post all about your adventures in SLC. :)
That picture of Rick is kind of freakin amazing.
I LOVE Owens lake picture with only a little triangle of his face showing from under the hat - priceless! Looks like you guys had a ton of fun!
