The first half of winter break

Have I mentioned that I LOVE the medical school portion of Rick's training, because I do. He has had a two week break over Christmas and we have had a lot of fun. On Sunday Dec. 20th church was canceled because of snow (I still cannot believe that happens here) so we headed to NYC to see the Lees and to pick up Will. I love that we have east coast dental school friends that we can see on a day trip. I love this picture, Owen was trying to make friends with the two little babies that will be here to play with him soon. Will came out to visit us again, and this time we didn't make him work on our house once. Will, Rick, and Wyatt went sledding in the golf course across the street while Owen and I stayed warm inside.

We had to throw together some snow clothes for Will so Rick manned up and wore my snow pants. Check him out, I don't know if I could even fit in those right now, they are a large from the little girls department.

There was some snowboarding attempted on the toboggan.

Wyatt made snow angels. Then he taught Rick and Will how to do it.

We made Christmas cookies.
We took a trip to see Santa at the mall because we promised Wyatt he could see him at the ward Christmas party, and then he never came. They wouldn't let us take pictures with our camera with Santa, but here is Wyatt waiting in line to see him on the Polar Express. I was a little disappointed in Santa, after he heard we were not buying a picture package he didn't even have Wyatt sit on his lap he just talked to him for 30 seconds. I guess I probably shouldn't be mad that Wyatt didn't get to sit on a creepy guys lap at the mall, but I am sad there is no Santa picture this year.
We have been playing in the backyard in the snow a lot.
And here is where Rick has spent every free second over his break. This is half of our unfinished basement that Rick is working on. Here is a "semi" before picture (there is obviously a door and wall already framed here). So far he has added recessed lighting, updated all the electrical, framed walls, added doors, and we will hopefully have sheet rock up in the next few days, I LOVE that he knows how to do all of that. Stay tuned for the finished project over the next couple months.
Here are some pictures of us, we took with our handy tripod that probably would have been on a birth announcement or a Christmas card if I had been organized enough to send either of them out.

GREAT pictures of you guys!!! Lucas would be so jealous of your snow! That's great that you're able to have Rick home so much. I miss medical school for that very reason! :)
