On Friday Wyatt and I tagged along with the preschool on their field trip to the Cabrillo Aquarium. It was the first time for both of us at an aquarium. It was really neat and the best part was it is free admission (well they do have a suggested donation, but still very worth it.)! It is right on the beach and they have tide pool walk and an earth museum next door. The earth museum had a stage area with cameras so the kids could see themselves on TV.

They even had costumes to dress up in. The Aquarium had a petting pool where Wyatt was able to touch some starfish and some “pokey puff things” (that is a technical name in case you were wondering). Personally I did not pet any sea creatures, fish give me the creeps, well I guess if I am being totally honest most animals do. Anyway for anyone who lives nearby I would recommend it. Our little adventure made me realize just how many neat things near my house that I have no clue about. So if you happen to know of any other neat things in LA let me know because I now realize that I am totally clueless.

Is that at Santa Monica Peir? I too have never heard of it. I love finding new fun places, especially the free ones.
Thanks to Celeste for sending this picture of Wyatt petting the sea creatures.
