Rick had a week of vacation this month and we tried to take advantage of our stay-cation. Wyatt had his class pet, Dante the Dragon, that weekend that he had to journal about so it is a good thing we had a few things planned. Based on his journal and pictures Dante has had a pretty awesome year. His stay with us was much more low key than some of his other weekends.
We made pizzas together.
Dante joined us for our weekly movie night.
The boys had a birthday party at Jumpin' Jammin' that Dante was able to attend, then it was back to room 3 for Dante.
We tried out Jake's Wayback Burgers. Wyatt finished everyones shakes.
Rick put some finishing touches on the basement, building a cabinet recessed in the wall and a mantle for the fireplace (sorry I am to lazy to go down and take a picture). Our big outing of the week was our trip to CoCo Keys, an indoor water park. It was pretty fun. For any locals who are interested, they have a deal on Wednesday afternoon where it is only $10. The boys loved it.

This was the only part Owen didn't love. Every 10 minutes or so this HUGE bucket would dump over the kids area. There was always plenty of warning to get out of the way, but Owen never caught on and got dumped on several times.

The boys loved these slides. Wyatt really liked the tube slides and body slides that went outside the building, which were actually pretty intense.

Now for an update on the kiddos and some pictures for Grandma.
CLARA
This little girl is so sweet. She has such a great disposition, she smiles all the time! I am just realizing I don't really have a good picture of it. She loves to talk already. If you talk with her she will coo back to you. When she is really happy she squeals, I can tell that sweet baby laughter is just around the corner.
She is getting too big too quickly as all babies tend to do. Just in the past couple days she was started to grow out of some of her three month things.
She is a great sleeper and that has saved me this month since I have been up a lot with Owen. We really love this little girl and the joy she brings to our family.
OWEN
Owen has had a rough month. At the beginning of the month he gave up his "Pacie" and he turned into a bit of a crazy child and started sucking his fingers so I will admit to giving it back (he has only had it when sleeps for the past 8 months or so) and he turned back into sweet Owen.
Then he got sick. Poor Owen, when he gets sick it hits him so hard and lasts for so long. I am pretty sure he didn't sleep longer than 20 minutes for three days. It was a rough week because when Owen is sick he gets really angry and really whiny. I am glad we both survived and he is now feeling better and our sweet Owen has returned.
WYATT
Wyatt is such a good boy (and very flexible as you can see in his pictures below). He is really enjoying kindergarten and I have been really impressed with all he is learning. He is so helpful around the house and a great example to his brother and sister.
This month we gave Wyatt our old CD player alarm clock for his room and he is in love. We made a CD of his music and he will sit in his room listening and dancing for hours. Another benefit is he likes to turn off his alarm so he will stay in his bed until it goes off each morning.

When Owen was sick , Rick was at work so we were staying home from church. I had a friend offer to take Wyatt and I will admit to trying to make things easier on myself by telling him he could stay home with me and watch movies and play games, he responded with "that would probably be more fun, but it would be better for me to go to church." I told you he was a good little boy.
Another thing I don't want to forget about Wyatt this month was an experience at one of our movie nights. Wyatt picked the movie 'Mars Needs Moms' for us to watch. I would not really recommend it. Anyway there is a scene where a mom is trapped and the martians are trying to infuse some nannybots with the mom's mothering skills, remember I said I would not recommend it. Anyway, Wyatt was so scared and sad he climbed up on my lap and started crying. He did not like the idea of that happening with his mom and just wanted to sit with me and be reassured that I wasn't going anywhere. He is such a loving boy, I bet he tells every member of our family that he loves them personally ten times a day, we love you too Wyatt.

Miss Clara is adorable!!! Love her little swimming suit!
Thank you so much for the pictures and update of your family. I loved every one of the pictures, and the video. Clara is growing so fast, but so are Wyatt and Owen. I am so happy Owen is feeling better. It makes a grandma, who cannot see her wonderful grandchildren all the time, happy to see pictures. Love you guys a lot and miss you.
That water park looks awesome and Wyatt does seem like such a sweet boy! Glad Rick got some time off so you guys could spend some time together!
At fist, when you wrote that Wyatt was flexible, I assume you meant "goes with the flow.". But then I saw the pictures! Wowza, you gotta get that boy into gymnastics or yoga! That is awesome! Hope Owen is feeling better! And what a blessing little Clara is! Life is good for the Shamo family!
Looks like good times. I wish we had an indoor water park like that here!
