This year we had our first Christmas with just us, at times it was a little quiet, but overall I loved it.
On Christmas Eve we had a dinner, a nativity, and some Rock Band with friends. I thought about taking these wings for Wyatt to be the angel in the nativity, but then I realized Rick would not be happy (I wonder what he will think now that I have posted it on the blog), so Wyatt opted for Joseph instead.
Just so you are clear, Joseph (Wyatt) is holding Mary's (Pocahontas') hand while she is riding the donkey (red dragon) in followed by a lamb (the pink puppy), and a shepherd (he actually looks like a shepherd). It was a lot of fun, and we felt so lucky to have friends to celebrate with. When we got home Wyatt put out food for Santa's reindeer, frosted cookies, and set them out.
This is what we found in the morning. Santa brought Wyatt a firetruck and Rick and I got the early presents of a new house and a shiny new refrigerator (thanks, again Santa!).
We spent the day video chatting with family and just taking our time enjoying each other. Wyatt didn't have much to open, but he was still opening into the evening because he would stop and play with a toy or watch a new movie, or just fall asleep in the middle of playing.
Aren't my boys so cute!? It was really nice and relaxing.
We had a nice dinner just the 3 of us, and then Rick decided to take Wyatt sledding in the backyard and fly his new airplane (that is what is in the dark picture). Then I got to fall asleep with my little boy while we watched movies. It was a great day!

I am a little bit jealous that you finally posted about Christmas, I have only thought about doing but have not done anything about it. I hope you didn't take back your other gifts.
The Christmas's that we have stayed at home with just our little family are by far my favorites. I'm glad you got to enjoy it at home.
P.S. Sweet Fridge...that's when you know you are old (or poor) when you get excited about getting "needs" instead of wants for Christmas! :) That was us, as well, this year!
I love the Christmas pictutes. It makes me feel like you guys are not as far away as you are. Seeing you on Christmas with the webcam was great. It makes the world seem so much smaller.
It looks like you guys had a great Christmas. Wyatt is adorable! Love your fireplace decorations. It looks like you have a real fun house.
Great pictures and a wonderful holiday report.
What a wonderful Christmas day!!!
Kids that can fall asleep anywhere are so foreign to me! Lucas does not do that.
