My Mom, Dad, and two younger sisters, Karen and Suzy, were in town this last week and we had tons of fun.Saturday
Everyone flew in Saturday afternoon and we headed down to Hollywood. We saw the stars walk of fame and the Hollywood sign. I know these aren't the best pictures but I have always wanted to use this template and what better time that for Hollywood. We went to dinner at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles and holy cow it was amazing. Rick was a little blinded by the neon sign he was facing, but recovered in time to enjoy our third time at Wicked.Monday
This was a busy day! We started by going to the Getty Villa in Malibu. It was awesome. The museum is a replica of a Roman Villa that would have been in Pompeii or Herculaneum. It is free (except for $8 parking), but you do have to get your free tickets online.
I definitely plan on going back. After that we headed to Zuma Beach and the walked up to Point Dume. Once we got back to LA we headed to C & Os where Wyatt started eating the garlic rolls, I have included a before and after.Tuesday
We went to the Hammer in Westwood which after the Getty Villa was a bit disappointing, but you may want to check it out in the next week or so because it is free for the the next little bit. That night my family headed to the Dodger game while I stayed home with Wyatt to help him recuperate for the rest of the week.
Wednesday
We spent the day at the Getty. The gardens here were amazing!
It was really really hot, but we still had a great time roaming around all day! There was a fun family room that let Wyatt get some of his wiggles out.Thursday
We went to Disneyland. It was a great day and Disneyland because the parks were empty and we were walking right onto rides. The had even closed the fast pass lines because there was no need for them The only down side was that no one was there because it was soooooo HOT!

FridayFriday was a more relaxing day. We let Wyatt sleep the day away and spent the evening at the Hollywood Bowl. It was the first time I had been to the bowl and I LOVED it! I can't wait to go back it was so much fun.
We had a great time! Thanks for coming to visit. If anyone is interested I have added all of the photos from our trip to our photo album on the side.

You are such a great hostess. Looks like a lot of fun, you always go to Disneyland on the best days.
Oh! So many comments!
1) That is so cool that you guys went to the Getty Villa. I had reserved tickets a while back, but by the time the actual day came around I had forgotten about it. Bummer. However, I did redeem myself and we now have tickets for Sept. 22.
2) I have always wanted to go check out Zuma beach. I had an old boss who said that she would spend her entire summers there and because of this the password to get into her computer system was, "zuma".
3) Remember a while back when I commented that there was a holding tank for a great white shark at point doom? Well, I found out that it was for a baby great white that was caught in a fishing net and has now been transferred to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. You can read the whole story by going to the website.
Ok, sorry, this comment actually should have been an email. Oh well.
It looks like you had a great time. It is always so fun to come and visit with you guys. I can not wait to come and visit in Novemeber. The Getty looked like a lot of fun.
Janae you did a great job of blogging our trip. We enjoyed it tremedously. You guys are the greatest. Hope you are having fun in Boulder City.
Your family is always so organized and ready for fun events. I am glad you got to see your family. J.T. was wanting to hang out all week and I had to remind him your family was in town. He was not as supportive as me:)
We had a great time and really enjoy your pictures.
Dad
Hey Janae! Love the blog! I met your cousin Rachel in DC and she is so cute. We love her! And Wyatt is adorable, btw! I am jealous of your Disneyland trips ...
You make me (almost) miss LA!! Actually, we do miss a few things; like the beach, and the weather, and the beach...and the beach! Zuma was a favorite of ours too. And we do miss the People in LA. Good to see your cute family.
Glad to see your blog! Kathy
